This week I’ve been thinking a lot about how I’ll construct the survey for my project. I don’t have anything down yet but I’ve been bouncing ideas around in my head.

Questions:

-What does Chicago mean to you?

-Favorite location or story about the city?

-What neighborhood did you grow up in?

I’d also like to ask age and ethnicity perhaps? I’m not entirely sure but I would just love to get stories that I can add pictures to. Actual photographs I have yet to take but I’d like to go out soon and snap some. Stay tuned!

I started off with questions for my survey!

I only have a few questions on it, but I highly recommend SurveyMonkey if you are crafting a survey.

I’ve made a lot of progress since my last submission. As of today I have a total of twenty nine responses to my survey! I have finally made it to the picture taking portion of my project, and I’m very happy with the outcome. As for the following weeks I’ll be grabbing more snippets from my survey responses and then photographing them.

Here’s a sneak peek of just a few pictures I’ve taken so far.

We’re almost there! As the semester comes to an end, I realize how far I can take this project even after my Capstone is completed. I’m overjoyed with how this project is coming along but I know I can do more. By this I mean I’d like to continue this project for the foreseeable future.

I think it would be great to compile a number of pictures over time to really get a complete “shot” of Chicago. It would branch out to other neighborhood’s, new sights, new buildings, new scenery.

With that being said, here’s an update on the pictures!
